Svādhyāya - the yogic practice of studying ourselves on the inside so we can learn more about ourselves to better ourselves.
What if we take the practice of studying ourselves inside, to the outside?
As we reflect on ourselves and study ourselves, we become curious. We learn to enquire our thoughts and emotions as we are on a journey to better ourselves.
This curiosity,
this enquiry…
When we take this curiosity outside ourselves and question what is happening around us, the real magic happens.
Applying this reflection and study to the space around us. We can take steps to better the environment surrounding us. Starting with the people around us, the wider society, the planet and eventually our connection to the universe.
✔️ Reconnect with someone you’ve lost touch with.
✔️ Help an elderly person with a chore.
✔️ Increase your reuse and recycling.
✔️ Spend time in nature in each of the 4 seasons.
Do these with Svādhyāya.
As you take these steps to consciously improve your connection to the outside, start your internal Svādhyāya again.
— Now study yourself inside and see the transformation.
— The magic of applying the practice of Svādhyāya outside of the inside.
