All rivers lead to the same ocean

This is the foundation of yoga - a non-secular practice that is open to everyone.

So what exactly does this mean?

When we close our eyes to meditate, we connect to the source. The river we sail may be different, but as we navigate the winds and the water becomes calmer, we find ourselves joining the same stream of water as we move to the same ocean.

This is Yoga. A means to connect to our source, no matter what route we take. Yoga is a non-secular practice, open to all, available to all. In our current day and age, students are sometimes apprehensive about the spiritual side of yoga, sceptical that it is a means to promote religion (Hinduism). The truth is, yoga has a history that spans so many thousands of years, its teaching were being carved out long before Hinduism was even a thing.

We may take different routes. In fact we should embrace the fact that we take different routes. But in the end, our destination is the same. The rivers merge into one ocean; one source.

Yoga is open to everyone - no matter your faith or your background.

Let’s embrace our multicoloured world and find union through yoga.
